Terms of use
Effective 23 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Gabriel Gomes Pacheco (Malta), who runs Bora FC. By creating an account you accept them. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. What Bora FC is
Bora FC is a tool for organising casual football matches: sign-ups and waitlists, payment tracking, teams, results, MVP votes, stats and badges. It's currently in beta: features may change, and things may occasionally break.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Use your real name so your group knows who you are, and keep your password to yourself.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Groups, organisers and matches
- Each group is run by its admins and organisers. They decide who joins, schedule matches, set prices, make teams, enter results and rate players' strength to balance teams.
- Bora FC doesn't organise or run the matches themselves. The pitch, the game, safety and any disagreements are between the players and the organiser. You play at your own risk; make sure you're fit to play and covered by your own insurance where needed.
- If you bring a guest, you're responsible for them, including their payment.
- Drop out as early as you can if you can't make it. Late drop-outs and no-shows are visible to your group.
4. Payments
- Match prices are set by the organiser, who collects the money: through their own payment link, cash, or card payments through Stripe when switched on.
- With card payments, the organiser receives the match price in their own Stripe account, and you pay a service fee on top, which is shown before you pay. It covers card processing and Bora FC. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment.
- Refunds (for example when a match is cancelled or you drop out in time) are decided and made by the organiser. The service fee is refunded only when the whole payment is refunded.
5. Behave like a good teammate
Don't use Bora FC to:
- harass, insult or discriminate against anyone;
- post someone else's personal data without their permission;
- impersonate others, create fake accounts or manipulate votes;
- break the law, or try to break, overload or get around the security of the app.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (like your name and guest names). You let us store and show it to your groups so the app works.
7. Availability and liability
- We provide Bora FC "as is" and don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for anything that happens at a match, between players, or in payments between players and organisers.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under EU and Maltese law.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may close accounts that break these terms, or end the service with reasonable notice.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes we'll tell you in advance by email or in the app. If you keep using Bora FC after they apply, you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's consumer laws and can go to its courts.
